SAP & ESAP Training

Student Assistance Programming is a systemic process using effective and accountable professional techniques to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning, and, when the issue is beyond the scope of the school, to assist the parent and the student with information to help access services within the community.
A team of people identified by the school will receive training in eight core competencies designed to give team members the most up-to-date professional training consistent with accountable standards and appropriate professional procedures.
The Eight Core Competencies Are:
- The History of Student Assistance Programs
- Legal Issues Concerning Student Assistance Programming
- The Core Team Process and Planning
- Mental Health Issues
- Drug and Alcohol Concerns
- Risk and Resiliency Factors
- Working with Families
- Cultural Considerations
SAP and ESAP trainings can also be arranged at your school or agency location provided adequate participation.
