Kids of Promise (KOP)

Student's Affected by a Loved One's Addiction

One in four children has been impacted by a family member’s addiction before they reach the age of 18. As professionals, learning to recognize these children, becoming more aware of the issues they face, and referring children and adolescents to appropriate services can greatly increase their opportunity for success in school, as well as life-long resiliency.

The Kids of Promise (KOP) Program offers various opportunities for education professionals and community members to gain awareness and enhance their skills related to working with children, adolescents and families impacted by addiction issues in the family system.
