Assessment Services
Caron’s SAP Department can be contracted with to provide integrated behavioral health assessments for students in grades 5 through college at the recommendation of a school’s Student Assistance Program Core Team.
Following written parental permission, Caron’s certified SAP Specialists will meet with a student individually to complete the assessment which focuses on issues related to substance abuse, mental health and other areas of concern in a young person’s life. Upon completion of the comprehensive assessment, the Caron SAP Specialist will make recommendations designed to support the student in addressing the identified stressors. These recommendations are confidential and will only be shared with the guardian of the student and the school’s SAP Core Team - provided appropriate releases of information are signed. The Caron SAP Specialist will provide support to the school and family in their efforts to implement the recommendations.
Assessments can also be arranged privately for any parent concerned about their teen – it is the parents choice to determine if they would or would not like their child’s school to be part of this process.
